At Woodlands Church, our Missions Department is founded on the principles of love, service, and the teachings of Christ. Our mission, summed up in three simple words—Love, Serve, Repeat—reflects our commitment to loving our neighbors as ourselves, serving others humbly in love, and continually repeating the process because ministry is ongoing.

We are a volunteer-led, member-supported community that wholeheartedly embraces the call to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those in need. Guided by the life of Jesus, we seek to bring Heaven to Earth through every act of service.

MORE WAYS TO SERVE

In addition to our ongoing local ministries, we provide our congregation with opportunities to serve and bless our community seasonally through our two key seasonal initiatives:

Christmas Gift Drive

During the holiday season, our Angel Tree Ministry hosts a Gift Drive to support families facing financial hardships. In November and December, we invite our members to choose an angel from our Angel Tree and provide gifts for children. This act of generosity shares the love of Christ and brings the spirit of Christmas to those in need.

School Supply Drive

Each July, our Schools Outreach Ministry hosts a Backpack Drive to equip students from 26 local schools with essential supplies. Thanks to the generosity of our church members and volunteers, we fill and distribute backpacks with notebooks, pencils, and more. In 2024, our congregation provided 1,704 backpacks!

For every minute of the past year—and then some—a volunteer in one of our local ministries was actively serving those in need within our community!
